Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) is a species of milkweed native to most of North America east of the Rockies and transplanted elsewhere. Food source for Monarch butterflies & caterpillars as well as the Milkweed Beetle, Small Milkweed Bug and Milkweed Leaf Beetle, habitat conservation and restoration is essential to offset urbanization and deforestation.
