Nectaring on asters, this king of the butterflies is a delight for the eyes.About the Photographer: Donna Brunet has a M.S. in Wildlife from the University of Missouri
where she
began taking photographs of butterflies for her research project. She had been a serious
photographer as an undergraduate, but had never taken macro photos before.
She quickly fell in love with it and now rarely takes a photo that does not
have an insect as its subject.
All images are photographed with a Canon macro lens mounted on a Canon
digital SLR. Processing in Photoshop CS2 consists only of work that could
be done in a traditional darkroom. Prints are produced on a professional
quality inkjet printer using archival ink on Epson Enhanced Matte Paper.
Prints are mounted on acid-free foam core with a white acid-free mat
board to fit an 8 x 10 frame. Actual print size is 5"x 7".
