BUTTERFLIES of SOUTH TEXAS is a photographic reference collection on Compact Disc. It contains over 450 quality butterfly photographs taken in Hidalgo, Cameron, and Starr counties at the southern tip of Texas. This area, known as the LOWER RIO GRANDE VALLEY, has more species diversity than any other place in the United States. The collection features about 98% of the butterflies a seasoned butterflier might see in a two year period in the Valley. The Disc features multiple views of almost 170 species. The images are recorded in natural light for true color reproduction and they are formatted in 640x480 JPEG for easy viewing on home computers. The photos can be printed on any inkjet printer.
A 25 minute slideshow set to music is included for your enjoyment. The slideshow can also be used as a learning tool when the species names are blocked out.
A printable field-checklist is provided for your convenience when visiting the Valley. The purchaser is granted a license to use the images on the CD, by print or projection, for such non-profit things as club bulletins, slide presentations, news articles, brochures, etc.
